Le Havre

 

A town on the coast of Normandy.  A noted departure-point for the new world.

 

 

Cafe Chez Paul

The Doctor's favourite cafe, frequented by people interested in philosophy and the sciences.

 

 

The Lusty Maggot

A run down tavern that is now home to a (currently leaderless) urchin mob.

 

 

Fort Warwick

Currently being dissassembled, a fortification built by the English during their occupation of the city. Now occupied by the predominantly Spanish militia.

 

 

Madame Vesperini's Salon

A former tavern, now turned into a high-class brothel that specialises in Castrati.

 

 

The Tannery of the Brothers Dubois

A handy place to dispose of things...

 

 

The Roasted Virgin

A tavern known for its clean prostitutes and its pragmatic madam named Irma.

 

 

Le Theatre Grand Veau

A bear and (more commonly) bull baiting pit.  Built upon three levels, it also has a section set aside for notable gentlemen who might be interested in gaming and other sports in addition to the betting on the fights.

 

 

The House of Apollo

An up-scale boarding house in a fashionable part of town where rooms are rented to wealthy people should they wish to spend time in Le Havre.

 

 

The Maritime Academy of Le Havre

Formerly the Le Havre university, it is funded by students but invested in heavily by the local Protestant nobility who are in the process of turning it into a centre of secular and practical education outside of the grip of the Church.

 

 

 

La Guarrigue

 

Part of the Loire Valley.  The ancestral lands of the Baron's father.  Also contains Sebastien and the Baron's lands.
